About Us

Our Story

Mariposa started as a need and as a dream. This is because we always wanted to start our own business, but did not know how, and as a need because we both lost our jobs at the same time.

Our journey began during this moment of unexpected transition. While finalizing our Master’s degrees, we both faced the sudden loss of our jobs—a challenge that forced us to re-evaluate our paths. Rather than waiting for the right opportunity to appear, we decided to build it ourselves. We realized that by combining our unique academic backgrounds, we could offer something truly transformative for families in our community.

We believe that high-quality childcare is the intersection of nurturing education and community stability. With one founder holding a master’s in education and the other a master’s in Economic Development, our center is built on a dual foundation. We apply proven pedagogical research to every classroom activity while ensuring our business serves as vital infrastructure that supports local working parents and the broader economy.

Our mission is to provide a safe, enriching environment where children don't just stay, they thrive and where teachers can dream of the professional, they would like to become. By blending the science of early childhood development with a deep commitment to teacher’s growth, we offer a unique environment for children and teachers to thrive. We are more than a childcare provider; we are a partner in your child’s future and a cornerstone of our local community’s success.
